No matter how good the weather looks, I always expect
it to rain at this meet. Just the luck of the draw,
I guess, but my most vivid memories all have something
to do with mud and 6 inch puddles.
Yesterday, though, was very nice weather for a cross-country
meet. Yes, there were some showers but they weren't
hard and really only served to cool off the runners
a bit. I, for one, was glad to see the clouds and minor
showers arrive and felt that the weather was probably
the best we've seen this season.
Of note were the mainland and international teams that
competed. Big Bear (southern CA) seems to always show
up for this meet and do extremely well. This year they
had do deal with a large and very good team from New
Zealand.
I just received a note from ANONYMOUS that he (she?)
will not be updating the girls rankings for a few days.
So all of you looking for that much anticipated article,
you'll have to wait! For those of you not knowing what
I'm talking about, please visit my blog.
There are a few people posting their rankings on the
girls and boys this year. There are also quite a few
people making comments. Feel free to join in the fun,
but please realize that I'm only providing a place for
the discussion. These are NOT my personal rankings.
